Netcracker Technology (Netcracker) has announced an expansion and enhancement of its collaboration with Virgin Media O2 (VMO2), as part of an ongoing digital transformation initiative which aims to benefit both the telecom operator and its clientele throughout the UK.

In this latest phase of Virgin Media O2's digital evolution, the focal point is the deployment of Netcracker's flagship Digital Platform. This encompasses comprehensive Digital Business Support Systems (BSS) alongside Digital Operations Support Systems (OSS) functionalities such as Active Resource Inventory.

These tools will play a pivotal role in supporting Virgin Media O2's integrated quad-play services, spanning mobile, fixed-line, broadband, and cable offerings to consumers. Additionally, Virgin Media O2 will leverage various professional services from Netcracker, including Managed Services and Application Development.

The operator anticipates several business advantages from this contemporary, adaptable, and nimble IT infrastructure, including reduced operational expenses, enhanced speed in launching new services to market, consolidation on a unified product catalog, increased efficiency in the order-to-cash cycle, and the streamlining of multiple systems for customer service representatives.

Moreover, Virgin Media O2 will harness a unified 360-degree perspective of customers across all touchpoints. This approach will enable them to create more personalized interactions and provide a broader range of services. The ultimate goal is to enhance the overall customer experience and deliver superior service quality.

Adrian Di Meo, CIO at Virgin Media O2, conveyed that the multi-year digital transformation program is paving the way for the company's future success in supporting advanced services, elevating customer experience, and streamlining operations. He highlighted Netcracker's longstanding involvement in this journey, expressing enthusiasm for the ongoing collaboration.

“Netcracker is extremely proud to work closely with Virgin Media O2 on one of the most significant digital transformations in the world,” said Sylvain Seignour, President at Netcracker. “We are delighted to have played a role in its positive business results so far and are looking forward to continuing on the next phase of this major IT program, which will create the framework for further achievements.”
