BT and Telstra Broadcast Services (TBS) have formed a five-year strategic alliance to bring together each company's global media network teams, leveraging their extensive network infrastructure and localized knowledge.

The deal will increase TBS' global footprint by 50% and expand its customer base to over 170 broadcast and media organizations worldwide. As part of the agreement, TBS and BT customers will have access to quality the unified operations of the two Global Media Networks through a product offering led by Telstra, which includes key Asia-Pacific regions with India, Malaysia and Hong Kong, among others.

Telstra's high-capacity media networks will benefit customers by increasing the reach and distribution of their content. This will be aided by a larger local team in APAC as well as access to a broader suite of TBS products and services, such as field services, special events teams and broadcast operations centers in Sydney, Melbourne, Hong Kong, London and Pittsburgh.

Customers of Telstra and BT will continue to have access to the same high-quality media delivery service, with the added benefit of increasing the global reach and visibility of their content.

TBS is committed to building a strong team of media and broadcast specialists in the Asia-Pacific region in order to provide customers with localized knowledge and support. Dedicated partner managers based locally in the APAC region will work closely with the team and BT customers to ensure a seamless experience for all customers.

The collaboration supports Telstra's ambition to expand its team, reach and investments in technology and innovation across APAC, the United Kingdom, and other regions globally, which is a key tenant of its T25 growth strategy.
